Randy Harris is one of the founding members of Team Chaos. He has been flying his home built Skybolt 300 on the show circuit since 1995. Randy built much of the highly modified Skybolt in the living room of a condominium. The Skybolt was originally designed as a sport plane by a Colorado high school shop teacher. It was never intended for the kind of aerobatics typically seen at today’s air shows.
Even though Randy spends his weekends entertaining audiences with an amazing aerobatics routine in the Bearfeat Aerobatics Skybolt 300, during the work week he is an accomplished engineer with a major airline. Randy is a graduate of NC A&T State University.
Randy is no stranger to danger when it comes to aviation. He spent ten years and 2000 flight hours as a Flight Test Engineer helping develop and certify new aircraft. Because of this experience he is disciplined and methodical in his approach to air show flying.
Randy performs in up to 16 shows per year for his sponsor Aircraft Specialties Services. In addition, he makes a number of TV appearances each year and hosts aviation training videos.
Nothing compares to the color, excitement and sound of Randy’s award-winning Skybolt 300.
