George Beyl
George Beyl is the ferry pilot for the Skybolt 300. In addition to that duty, he helps the entire Team with logistical support and emergency repairs. He is retired from a major airline, but continues to teach A&P classes on occasion at Tulsa Technology Center. George is an FAA Fast Team member and does a number of safety and other aviation presentations during the year.
George is famous for his common sense approach to problem solving. Nothing is beyond the scope of his experience which is widely varied from his service in the Marine Corps to a long history of debugging new technology on numerous airline aircraft. George is so memorable and well traveled that during shows we play the ‘six degrees of separation’ game and can usually find at least one person on the airport connected to George or his family.
Marilyn Darnell
Marilyn Darnell is the Crew Chief for the Flash Fire Jet Truck and also wife of Driver Neal Darnell. Among her various duties are communications with Team Members during the Team Chaos Performance to make sure the Jet Truck and both airplanes are all in sync with one another at all times. The Success of the Team Chaos Finale and Race is dependent on her timing and signalling skills.
She also serves as Team Referee to make sure we all agree on how it's to be done. Her responsibilities also include starting the big Jet Engine on Flash Fire and towing the Jet Truck into position on and off the Runway with her Beautiful Yellow Corvette Pace Car.
Marilyn is a huge part of Team Chaos and we all agree on one thing--'We couldn't do it without her'.
John Getsy
All of the pictures, graphics and video you see of Team Chaos were created by a single person - Mr. John Getsy. His photography has graced the covers of numerous aviation magazines and national ad campaigns. His graphic designs are award winning.
John is an aerospace engineer by day having graduated from Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach Fl. Prior to his current airline job, he was an avionics design engineer for McDonnell-Douglas aircraft. John is an accomplished pilot, space enthusiast and fan of all things science fiction.
